lugging the library

Have we moved forward enough? This question shall remain unanswered.

Technological growth. We have come so far, yet still have a long way to go. An endless development. We do not know what we're capable of. (oh wow. that is so, philosophical of me)

Carrying the world in our pockets is an old story, but with many versions. Especially for us, students, going mobile with technology is highly beneficial for academic and well as social purposes. Mobile computing (iphones and tablets) is easier to use and more accessible. Flipping through notes and schedules, online course registration, online book renewal, and sharing files on LMS are just among many other benefits of mobile computing.

and so I have found an interesting piece of information on how Duke University have their own library iphone apps. Students can browse through library's digital collection from their iphones. It is very interactive and incredibly useful.
Here is a video, demonstrating the Duke University Libraries' Digital Collections iPhone / iPod Touch app interface.

Wouldn't it be a bless if IIUM Library come out with similar apps? And all you wish for is battery that lasts for days.
