Assalamualaikum.
I'm sure all of you know about field trip and have experienced the excitement of this activity. It is definitely a great way to bring excitement and adventure to learning. However, field trips are time-consuming and have to be planned well. But don't worry. We still can have field trips but they are VIRTUALLY.
Virtual Field Trip (VFT) is a guided exploration through the world wide web that organizes a collection of pre-screened, thematically based web pages into a structured online learning experience. (Definition: Wikipedia)
So teachers, you can bring your students for a field trip everyday and it is virtually! Take them to places they wouldn't be able to go and give them more opportunities to experience different cultures and environment.

This approach can actually saves our time and perhaps money for a reality field trip. Quite brilliant although the single disadvantage I can think of from this approach could be real-life experience. You know some things aren't meant to be replicated in virtual world. But all in all, it's a good idea to use such method :D Good find, friend!
ReplyDeleteThe pros of VFT is obviously saves time and money (just like what Zaim said). However, I myself prefer the real one because I think the sensation of being there in reality is different than virtually. In reality, we can smell the air and touch the sand and use other senses and this cannot be done virtually. I still like this because VFT can allow us to go to places that are not exist anymore.
ReplyDeleteyeap, I also think that the reality is more enjoyable. what Allah create is absolutely more advance than what man create. Allah had mention in quran surah al-ankabut,(verse 19-20)

[29:20] Say, "Roam the earth and find out the origin of life." For GOD will thus initiate the creation in the Hereafter. GOD is Omnipotent.
