Video Game Therapy

We always heard of video games causing violence in children or teenagers but here, a group of researchers did the other way around using video games. They exploited the video games violence potential to benefit the anger management of teenagers. The video game is called RAGE Control. You can read the full article here:

One thing I can say is that hardcore gamers wouldn't probably buy it. But the idea is revolutionary! They can perhaps incorporate this into well-known games.

With this, I hope that certain someone wouldn't feel lazy to read it. If you're still, that's your fault, not mine as you always stressed. Pfft~

Project Glass

Glasses will never be the same after this. You'll have a completely different perception about the world after this. The world that you see today, will never be the same as you see it tomorrow with this "Project Glass" or it is also colloquially known as Google Glasses.

This cutting-edge technology is still being developed by Google X Lab which has worked on other futuristic technologies such as self-driving cars. It has really cool features like

  • Making phone/video calls
  • Works as GPS
  • Listening to Music
  • Surfs the Internet
  • Check-in!
  • Voice Search
  • Book tickets, etc
and many more that are yet to be unveiled! Spare your expression because I know right this is so freaking awesome! New York Times has reported that this Project Glass would be available to the public by the end of 2012 or early of 2013 and the price would be around the current price of smartphones ($1500).

ARE YOU GUYS GONNA BUY THIS?

I would want to get this! If possible!
Let's watch this video on how this state-of-the-art works!

Philip Woo"HUE"!!!

Yellowww peeps! How's everyone doing? Missing me? No? Yes? Extremely? Don't care? Yeah, I figured. Let's just cut to the chase. So, I've found this really SICK gizmo.

It's the ...*drum rolls* Philip Hue smart lightbulbs! Check out the pitcha! It's not your ordinary, orange, overheat, bulky, wired with filament bulb. It's PHILIP HUE LIGHTBULB! *throws fist in the air*

Philips is dragging the humble bulb into the future with its "Hue" technology - wirelessly controlled light orbs that give you complete control over the lighting in your house.

The Hue bulbs look like ordinary lightbulbs, and screw into light sockets as normal. Inside each bulb, however, is a wireless transmitter that communicates with a hub you plug into the back of your router.

Once connected, you can use a Web site or download an app, then use the wonderful power of Internet to fiddle with the lights in your home.

The special bulb can spit out any hue in the spectrum, so the first thing you'll likely do is light your home and give your neighbors a temporary photosensitve epilepsy from that bulbs of yours which do wonders in changing colors.

Philips Hue offers up to 80% less power than a traditional bulb, making it last as long as 15 years or 15,000 burning hours. I KNOW RIGHT! O_O

It will be available from 199$, with additional bulbs cost around 59$. I know it's pricey, but in the long run, I feel that it's a very good investment. Plus sooner or later, the price will definitely decrease.

Till then fellow Netizens. Ciao!

Pshhhh Pshhh -------> ~~~~~

Hey, pshhh pshhh is just the sound effect which I convert into text. Am I close enough??

So, the above is a watch with built in perfume atomizer

The invention of the atomizer is credited to Dr Allen DeVilbiss of Toledo, Ohio. In 1887, he produced the very first medical atomizer. Then Tom;his son proceeded his effort by adapting a perfume atomizer.

The benefit of the above Venex Perfume Watch is you can have a small quantity of perfume on you at all times. It can hold more or less about 50 sprays of any perfume according to your likings. Because it looks like a regular watch, I am thinking of filling it with some tear gas and spraying people in self defense WACHAAA!

You can grab one at $150 or so. By the way buddies, new stock for the perfumes I sell has came. So grab one at RM30 or take two at only RM50 (^-^)

So.... Who's Hungry ?

Yeah, you heard me ! Are you hungry ? Now, I will make you drool with this cool, new invention ! Muahahahahaha * Evil laugh* Alright, I was not meant to laugh liddat. I watched too much movies I guess XD

Given Tablets but No Teacher Program

Assalamualaikum, hi everyone!

Before I forget, Happy Eidul Adha to all of you..hehe.. So, how’s your holiday? Are you happy? ^^,

Alright, this week I will talk about the experiment involving children in Ethiopia. What? Oh! Don’t worry is not about the lab test or finding new alien stereotype. It is about One Laptop Per Child project. The founder, Nicholas Negroponte, explains that 100 million first-grade-aged children worldwide having no access to schooling took part in the latter because they wanted to try something new in two remote Ethiopian villages by giving them tablet computers with programs. He said that in term of seeing them how to read all by themselves, they also wants to see if illiterate children with no exposure to written words can learn by experimenting with alphabet-training games, e-books, movies, cartoons, paintings and other fun programs.

The result was so amazing! The children were engaged in using and recharging the machines and reciting the alphabet song and also spelling words. How the researchers know?? Actually before they gave the tablet to the children, they already set up a program that can monitor the children’s activity by using the computer.
The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) workers said that they thought the children won’t do anything with the computer. It’s so out of the blue when they can sing the ABC songs in the village within two weeks. The fact is the kind of inquiry and kind of discovery is essential to learning.

What I want to highlight here is the contribution of a company towards children who hasn't the opportunity to go to school gives impact to the poor children, they are willing to give the tablet as long as they see the changes from the children.

I like this quote: “If they can learn to read, then they can read to learn”- by Negroponte.

What about Malaysia? Yes, we have. So, we watch the result! ^^,

Ergonomic Shoes

Salam guys..
Second post for this night  =)

For this post, I just want to share with all of you about ergonomic shoes. It is the shoes that design to give comforts to the owner when stand or walk a lot. Below are the examples of it.

for girls & women
                                                                        for men

                                                                       for children

you can find this shoes at Weboo Footwear.
Their slogan says it all - Developing Healthy Feet and Huge Imaginations!

If you walk a lot and especially on very hard ground, you are putting too much pressure on your bones of your foot. You'll need more cushioned support.

There is an old saying that goes, "when your feet hurt, you hurt all over." So, we must take a good care about our feet. Choose the wrong shoes will harm your health.

Some tips to choose good footwear:

  1. The inner side of the shoe must be straight from the heel to the end of the big toe.
  2. The shoe must grip the heel firmly.
  3. The forepart must allow freedom of movement for the toes.
  4. The shoe must have a fastening across the instep to prevent the foot from slipping when walking.
  5. The shoe must have a low, wide-based heel; flat shoes are recommended.

10 Accidental inventions

Assalamualaikum..
Happy Eid Adha!

Guys, did you know every things happens in our life have a reason. Even it is small matter and we think it is not so important. But we must know, Allah knows the best! We must put our trust only to Allah because He had created us and gives us mind to think. While searching for this post, I found these accidental inventions. They found the invention without planning.

                                               10 Accidental inventions

One of the most interesting accidental inventions for me is Popsicle.

Actually, the founder left his drink outside the cold night when his 11 years old and after two decades later he patented his frozen ice on a stick. This is what is actually happen. He just left the water without knowing that it will happen.
I think, we can also be a founder if we think creative and critically. =)

Alien voice?

No, I am not talking about aliens here. LOL. I am talking about Audacity. What's Audacity? It's an audio editor and recorder, and the cool part is that it is free! (I am sure everyone loves free stuff, including me :P)
Audacity is actually very easy to use. You can use Audacity to:
  • Record live audio.
  • Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs.
  • Edit Ogg Vorbis, MP3, WAV or AIFF sound files.
  • Cut, copy, splice or mix sounds together.
  • Change the speed or pitch of a recording.
  • And more!
You can choose to edit pitch from the effect option.

You can change female voice into male voice and vice versa. For example, if you would like to hear a man's voice singing Avril's song, you can edit the pitch similar to a male's voice. Not only that, you can also use Audacity when you are using video call like Skype. You can change your voice into a little girl, or if you want to sound like aliens, you can do so! I have tried the alien's voice and I laughed to myself. LOL. You should try it :)

That's all from me. Assalamualaikum..

Doodling is fun

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Lately, people become hard-die-fan of doodling and it is super awesome cute and beautiful. Instead of doodling using pen or pencil and paper which i would love the most, why don't we try new software namely, pain tool SAI. This software basically just like 'paint' but in an advanced way. But there is one disadvantage here where you cannot add text. So, you can solve this problem by simply adding it using photoscape or adobe photoshop.

SAI logo

This is how it looks

Some of the function are the same with adobe photoshop where you can add new layer

you can also use it with graphic tablet if you are really interested with. This is one tutorial from a blogger, click here
and here few examples even i make one. Just for fun..=)

source:google image

this is from the expert!
source:google image
and this is mine!just draw it for the first time, so sorry if it not beautiful like the others..hehe

so, happy doodling using SAI!^__^

*can get this software from me, just for my classmates..hehe

Pingu and Skittles

Salam,

I love YouTube watching. I think it's one of the most interesting things you can do while surfing the Internet after social networking.

Before this, I never know what is stop motion and I never even know that it exists. Fortunately, with YouTube watching, I finally know about this.

For those who do not know, here I provide a direct quotation from Wikipedia:

"Stop motion (also known as stop frame) is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own."

In simple words, stop motion is a collection of pictures that are run in sequence to form animation.

Here's an example of a stop motion video, which I find is very cool, and hard to make :)

Amazing isn't it? and she did it all by herself! :D

I'm planning on making one stop motion video one day for fun (I just don't know when I'll have the free time).

Here's another stop motion video made by the same YouTuber: A Skittles Commercial

Again, fascinating right?! I bet making stop motion is way more difficult than watching it. Then again, you should all start browsing stop motion videos in YouTube, you'll be surprised! :D

Plus, there's nothing you could lose right?

That's all from me. Bye bye !

Oh, before I forget, do you know that cartoon like Pingu is also a stop motion?

The Bloop

Be prepared for another creepy post. It's about a sound produced by...

'SOMETHING' ... to put it vaguely.

It's called the Bloop. This 'thing' is actually an ultra-low frequency and extremely powerful underwater sound detected by U.S National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in 1977. Quite a long time ago, huh? There's two thing we can see here, one; America is already ahead of all countries in technology and two; it's freaking creepy, it has been detected from back in our grandparent's days yet it is still a mystery as to what produced the sound.

Mind you that the loudest underwater creature known to man is only the blue whale. It has been stated we just know about 30% of the whole ocean and that's not including all the nooks and crooks there are in the ocean. This is one of the few factors contributing to my thalassophobia (Google'd it lol).

Here's a further read: The Bloop

See how the article in Wikipedia is short? I bet the U.S government is hiding something from the general view but it's still freaking creepy nonetheless. What kind of creature Allah created down there? We just don't know and better, we don't have to know. It is said that a creature will arise from the pit of the Earth when it's near to Kiamat? I don't know but that's what I heard.

And here's a Youtube video to the sound:

!You have been warned, don't listen to this when you're sleeping!

See the frequency shown? Yeah, that's a real deal right there.

When Fashion Meets Technology

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Hi guys!looking for an entry take me such a long time..fuhhh..when 'googling' for the latest technology, i found this stuff. Some people love fashion especially women and it would be double triple gorgeous if fashion combines with technology. Can you imagine an advanced gadget with voluptuous and branded design!Teachnology company like LG takes the initiative by having a collaboration with world designers and presented these awesome gadget in Various Fashion Show around the worls!ok, stop imagine..let's look the real one.

LG revisited its popular Prada partnership for the third time this year, producing the first smartphone in association with the high-end fashion house. The handset borrows its case design from the patented Saffiano pattern used in the Prada's leather, and features a stylish, reimagined monochrome Android design too.

. Piere Cardin offers tablets and proclaim as the first designer tablet in the UK. The Pierre Cardin tablet offers a seven-inch screen to rival the Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire, as well as 720p video footage and a rather lovely leather case as standard.

HP released a couple of netbooks in association with fashion designer Vivienne Tam, and this was the second one, released in 2010. It debuted on the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, carried by models in place of handbags.

.
This is Pure Evoke Mio DAB radio with signature stem  print design of International Famous Designer,  Orla Kiely .  It includes DAB and FM radio, an input for your iPod or MP3 player, an alarm and an auto-dimming OLED display

Beats headphones by Dre Oscar de la   Renta . Part headphones, part ear muffs. Its fur-lined design is a fashionista's dream and certain to make them stand out in the crowd.

LG has partnered with British fashion designer Giles Deacon in London Fashion  Week. This striking washing machine is just the latest in a long line of gadgets that have had a fashion makeover by famous designers. My mom would love this the most i bet!hehe

LEAK THAT NEWS

Children in care data found on public PC in New Zealand

I happened to stumble upon this news this morning.

Confidential government files belonging to New Zealand's Ministry for Social Development have been freely accessible from computers available for the public to use.

Mr Ng who accessed into this data from a public computer from his office, said in a post for blogger community Public Address.

"I sorted through 3,500 invoices. This was about half of what I obtained, and what I obtained was about a quarter of what was accessible," he said on his blog.

Government data has been leaked and their engineers should be working hard to get this covered. This shouldn't have happened since these kids safety has put in danger.

You can read the actual news here: BBC NEWS

are the airbags more than enough????

Salam guys!

how many of you are actually driving a car?i bet all of you already have the driving license since it is like a must for us. yeah, we know that vehicle is mostly crucial in our life and it is no longer a desire but a need in today's life. no matter what you have either motorcycle, car or even a jet..they  are still a machine that moves and brings us anywhere we want to go.

hey,stop mumbling!

But what i want to stress here is about our safety and do you think your precautions are good enough in taking care of your life?well guys, i have a good news for you..in 2015,the cars are not only equipped with the protective airbags but also a new safety system known as eCall system. It is a system that enables an urgent call is made when we involve in an accident. It will automatically call the nearest emergency centre and all the data about the accident are sent to them-location,time and vehicle identification. This is the thing:

Personally, i think it is a wise system as it directly call the emergency line. But, what  was upsetting me is, this technology is not proven yet  by government and it is not exist in MALAYSIA. However, i am hoping that we are going to use the same eCALL system in handling the issue of losing life especially during Hari Raya season!

with love,
writer.
